WHAT OUR GUESTS SAY...

Mrs. B-C & Family, September 2021

"Our recent stay at Spring Wood House was simply delightful. Nestled in beautiful protected woodland, the drive up to the iron gates could not have been more intriguing…!

Our friendly and funny hosts Annette and Andy were so considerate and helpful. They extended us the warmest of welcomes starting with a perfect settling-in cocktail on the terrace which overlooked extensive gardens.

The highlight of our stay was the delicious evening meal with perfectly matched wine in their beautiful dining room. Annette is a highly skilled cook and with Andy’s sommelier skills, they make a great team. We can highly recommend the St Clements possets!

The very tastefully decorated and comfortable accommodation surpassed our every need and the location served as a very convenient base for our South Downs hikes with friends.

Annette and Andy enthusiastically recommended a nearby historical pub for our Sunday lunch which had the most amazing views of the South Downs and the most delicious food.

We had a wonderfully restorative stay at Spring Wood House and are looking forward to our next stay there for a local vineyard tour which we have booked ahead of stocking up for Christmas!"

Mrs. B, May 2023

"I wouldn't call Spring Wood House just a B&B, but a beautiful home set in calming woodland in which hosts, Andy and Annette, do their upmost to make sure you depart having had a memorable stay!

A guided country walk, lunch and drinks on the terrace and a culinary 3 course dinner, we were made to feel truly welcome and left feeling nurtured.

Spring Wood House offers accommodation in a stunning location with an extra-magical touch - attentive and warm hosts who want to go that extra mile to make your stay enjoyable.

Thank you Annette and Andy."

Mr. & Mrs. B, October 2021

"Had the pleasure of staying for a night at Spring Wood House whilst we explored the West Sussex countryside, and what a great choice we made.

The stunning house was quite idyllic, set in its own secluded grounds, and presented and furnished to the very highest of standards.

Our en-suite room was comfortable, well-equipped and quiet. But the best bit of our stay were the hosts, Annette and Andy. They made us so welcome, attending to our every need, and at times we felt almost like their personal guests.

You certainly won’t find many B&Bs quite like this one!"

Mr. & Mrs. M-D, March 2023

"We were made so welcome from the moment we arrived at the lovely house of Andy and Annette, which is situated in a peaceful woodland setting. The house was beautifully decorated and furnished and our room spacious and comfortable.  We were very well looked after and would not hesitate to visit again."

Ms. B & Mr. D, June 2024

"Annette and Andy were consummate hosts. Annette was so kind and went

above and beyond to accommodate us on our lovely weekend away to Nyetimber. Annette provided lots of tips and updates….even a deer picture or two!

We ate in and enjoyed the incredible food and hospitality of this lovely couple in this stunning location.

Spring Wood House is peaceful and idyllic and a short walk from the delightful Five Bells Inn. 110% recommended! "

Mrs. G & Mr. W, October 2021

"Spring Wood House is the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway-from-it-all break in the West Sussex countryside, yet only 12 miles from the fleshpots of Worthing!

Andy and Annette have created a warm & welcoming BnB at their Arts&Crafts-style thatched house.

The rooms are clean and thoughtfully furnished, with tea & coffee-making facilities and their own dedicated bathroom facilities.

Breakfast is a feast … continental style, with the added bonus of home-made bread … and served down in their dining room adjacent to the huge farmhouse-style kitchen. The whole place shouts quality.

There’s an extensive garden with a suntrap terrace overlooking it, but we enjoyed wandering around the local country lanes & pathways … take your OS map.

There’s an excellent local, the Five Bells Inn, an easy 10 minute walk away, with a great range of local beers and pub food; however if you want to order dinner at Spring Wood then we can recommend that: Annette is a brilliant cook: she learnt the hard way, as a chalet chef in the Italian mountains.

If you’re looking for the perfect place to chill out, you won’t find better."

Ms. H, July 2024

"My partner, two friends , and I, stayed with Annette and Andy for the night to enjoy the local area, including visits to two vineyards and a walk on the beautiful South Downs.

The stay was just perfect. Annette and Andy were such welcoming hosts, really making us feel at home in their stunning home.

The room was so comfortable and we were lucky enough to enjoy great weather, whilst having a lovely breakfast in their gorgeous garden.

We left feeling relaxed and refreshed and will definitely be back again! Thank you so much, Annette and Andy, for such an enjoyable stay and it was a pleasure to meet you both."
